Hi! I’m Michelle (she/her)

I am naturally optimistic, encouraging and motivating, so using these gifts to support people in their well-being is very organic for me and a true delight. I absolutely love celebrating the wellness and fitness breakthroughs of my clients. I’m also very creative and playful, which comes in handy as I challenge people to expand their mindsets of what is possible in life.

My journey started as an athlete, progressed to being a professional dancer, yogi and now wellness coach/personal trainer. Suffice it to say that I understand first hand the various ways that the body can move and the mindsets needed to truly have sustainable practices.

Creating Sustainable Well-being

This is my main intention in all of my services. I know how frustrating it can be to make progress in something, only to have it disappear because of a lack of sustainability. This is why mindset is the very first place we start in my wellness coaching.

I am an avid learner and have attended over a thousand hours of training in various wellness modalities which have informed my own healing process.

Here are some examples: burnout recovery and the nervous system, somatic release for stress and anxiety, trauma informed coaching, 500 hours of yoga certification, the neuroscience of healing, healing race-based trauma, meditation and mindfulness and nutrition.

Fitness is more than just working out.

During my time working at Equinox as a personal trainer, I witness a lot of “strong” people lifting heavy weights. However, these same people had very limited range of motion in their joints, and many couldn’t get up off of the ground without using their hands (a longevity test).

This was part of my inspiration to focus my personal training on functional movement (based on how we move in our daily lives). I emphasize mobility, flexibility and balance helping people to achieve overall strength. My yoga training and dance background provide me with extra tools to support people.

As usual, I love to nerd out and attend trainings and certification programs, so here’s my list: TRX, Stick Mobility, Pain Free Training and Mobility, Vipr, and to add to my certification as a personal trainer, I am upgrading to be NASM certified in a couple of months.

Please feel free to connect with me and ask me questions. I’m a very curious person too and love engaging in conversations!

When I’m not supporting people with their well-being, I can be found in nature, at the beach, hiking, going on long leisurely walks, speaking French whenever I can, dreaming up my next travel adventure, and eating good food with good people!
